Lately, I’m loving one of the most staple patterns in fashion, stripes! Simple, yet so trendy, this style can be combined with any hue or mixed with multiple pops of print. I typically sport the nautical look- your “go to” navy and white stripes with a touch of red…but this year I am switching out my norm for a more vivid palette full of rich colors and various stripe sizes, like Blair from Atlantic-Pacific is showing off above (top left). Which pairing would you be caught wearing this season?

When the leaves start to fall and a chilly breeze rolls through, one pattern that is both comfortable yet chic is plaid! Something about that cozy, checkered pattern gets everyone in the holiday spirit. It makes me want to cuddle up right now with a good read and some steaming hot chocolate. Whether it is for your beloved wiener dog, yourself, or your man, this trend does the trick. This easy-to-wear print is something everyone has in their closet. From an over sized shirt, a bow tie, or a pair of tailored pants, plaid is easy to incorporate into your fall wardrobe…I definitely could add a few more pieces to my closet this season.
Tartan inspired prints have also been a hot commodity on the 2011/2012 runways from designers like Rag & Bone and Sonia Rykiel. If you are obsessing over plaids as much as I am, check out Style.com for some tartan inspiration just in time for the weather change. Think pretty, perfect, plaid this winter!
